Part 1 | The Ghosts of Love
Spring
Spring is come it's time I'm leaving. I'm not saying where I'll go. But there's no use to you grieving, all those things you tried to show melted with the winter snow. Please don't stop me please don't care, don't worry about me I know— I'm going downhill fast and nowhere. If you want keep on believing, but you'll waste your breath you know, saying prayers not worth receiving, prayers I stopped repeating long ago. If you love me say it low, and soft, and never share. It's only footprints in the snow, going downhill fast and nowhere. I can see you now retrieving ashes buried in the snow. I can see you disbelieving I would leave you lonely so, please stop now please let me go, I'm not coming back I swear. If you stay like this you know, you're going downhill fast and nowhere. Come on now don't act as though we were ever happy there. We were freezing in the snow— going downhill fast and nowhere.Next »
